All the villagers, young and old, participated enthusiastically in this program by lending a hand to the academics to hoist the tricolor flag.

PATNA: Students and faculty members of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) on Saturday raised the national tricolor to the top of the 500 houses of neighbors NEPA village of Gaya district as part of the highly publicized “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign on the occasion of the “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” celebrations.
More than 500 students and professors supervised by the CUSB VC Kameshwar Nath Singh reached the village early in the morning chanting slogans like ‘Vande Matram‘ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and hoisted the tricolor to the top of every house there. The university had purchased 1,000 “khadi” flags made by a local NGO. All the villagers, young and old, participated enthusiastically in this program by lending a hand to the academics to hoist the tricolor flag.
Later, addressing a public meeting in the village, the VC announced that the university has adopted a secondary school from the village to ensure its overall development. “CUSB will provide full cooperation and assistance in the academic and infrastructural development of the adopted school,” the VC said, adding that it will do whatever is necessary for the development of the institution.
Block Development Education Officer Sanjeev Kumar and School Principal Ravindra Sharma thanked the students.
