With just 12 comfy chairs, no stools, Chef Tadashi Yoshida will cook omakase sushi dinners with around six entrees, 12 pieces of sushi, and one dessert, for $ 400. The chef, who followed his father behind the sushi counter, moved his father’s restaurant to Nagoya, a city between Tokyo and Osaka. It closed in 2019. Kaiseki Room by Yamada
Isao Yamada, who was at the Brushstroke counter by David Bouley from 2010 to 2018, opens this formal restaurant with a 20-seat tasting menu that is inspired by the Kyoto tea ceremony. The restaurant, made of refined natural wood, is part of the Group, which also owns Omakase Room by Mitsu.
