New path provides safe access to Sussex Inlet foreshore
Cycling, scootering or strolling through Sussex Inlet will now be a safe and enjoyable activity thanks to a new Shared Use (SUP) trail linking Iverison Road to the town center and foreshore.
Completing the missing piece of the puzzle, the new section of the trail begins at the Inasmuch Community retirement village and connects to the existing trail on Lyons Road.
Residents and visitors will enjoy a path that leads to the city’s shopping, cafe and entertainment district.
The new two-metre-wide path was partly funded by the Australian government, which donated $200,000 to the SUP.
With the path now beginning at the Retirement Village, people using electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters can also take advantage of the increased accessibility.
