Odisha governor visits village house of Raj Bhawan employee
Although he is the Head of State, the Governor of Odisha, Prof. Ganeshi Lal is one of the most humble and down to earth people. He recently won millions of hearts with his sweet gestures. He visited the house of an employee of Raj Bhawan on Monday in Jajpur district and spent some quality time with his family members.
Sources said the governor visited the house of Sagarika Behera who hails from Khairabad village under Rasulpur block of the district and works as a nurse in Raj Bhawan.
The Governor was warmly welcomed by members of Sagarika’s family. He talked to his family members and drank coconut water. That’s not all. He also clicked pictures with Sagarika’s family members. The Jajpur district administration has made security arrangements for the governor’s visit.
Sagarika said, “According to protocol, the governor, sir, was supposed to spend 15 minutes. But he was so appeased by the welcome and the people present here, that he spent an additional 15 minutes at my house. As Mr. does not like to eat too much, we offered him coconut water and dried fruit. He met all the people present at my house, from the small child to the elderly person.
“He praised my dad like anything before he left for Raj Bhawan. He said ‘You are lucky and blessed to have a daughter like Sagarika.’ Also, he asked my father not to hesitate to express what you want. You can reveal it Sagarika and she will convey your wish to me.
Gopinath Behera, Sagarika’s father said, “Although he is in a respectable position, he has no ego. He spoke to us in Hindi language. He praised Sagarika like anything. He behaved like an ordinary man and made us feel comfortable with him.
